flakeboard
Compressed wood chips
Flakeboard is an engineered wood product made by compressing wood flakes or particles with adhesive into rigid sheets.
It serves as a cheaper alternative to plywood for subflooring, furniture backing, and other construction where appearance matters less than function.
Also called particleboard or chipboard.
