first-party

The principal party

First-party describes something originating from or directly involving the primary entity in a transaction or relationship.

In computing and privacy contexts, first-party data is information a company collects directly from its own customers, and first-party cookies are set by the website you're actually visiting.

In gaming, first-party games are developed by the console manufacturer: Nintendo's first-party titles include Mario and Zelda.

The term contrasts with third-party, which involves outside entities.
