second-party
The addressed party
Second-party refers to the other principal in a two-party relationship—typically the person you're dealing with directly.
In contracts, the second party is whoever you're contracting with.
In gaming, second-party developers are studios that make games exclusively for one platform holder without being owned by them.
The term exists mainly to complete the pattern established by first-party and third-party: The data stays between first and second parties—we don't share with anyone else.
