fanwork
Unofficial derivative art
Fanwork is creative content made by fans based on existing media—fiction, art, videos, or music inspired by movies, TV shows, books, games, or celebrities.
Unlike official productions, fanworks are typically shared freely in fan communities: She wrote fanwork exploring what happened after the series ended.
The term encompasses fanfiction, fan art, fan videos, and similar amateur creations.
