fanfest
Devotee celebration event
Fanfest is an event where fans gather to celebrate a shared interest—a sports team, video game, band, or franchise.
Teams host fanfests before seasons begin, offering autograph sessions and behind-the-scenes access.
Game developers hold annual fanfests to preview upcoming releases: I'm flying to Iceland for the EVE Online Fanfest.
The term blends fan and festival.
