exomoon
Orbits distant planet
An exomoon is a natural satellite orbiting a planet outside our solar system.
Just as Earth has its moon and Jupiter has dozens, planets around other stars are presumed to have moons, though detecting them remains extremely difficult.
As of now, no exomoon has been definitively confirmed: Astronomers reported a possible exomoon candidate, but the finding awaits verification.
