eternal death
Endless spiritual demise
Eternal death is a theological concept referring to the permanent separation of the soul from God, contrasted with eternal life.
In Christian doctrine, it describes the fate of the damned—not annihilation but endless conscious existence cut off from divine presence.
The term appears in discussions of salvation and damnation: The wages of sin is eternal death.
Sometimes called "the second death."
