engine mount
Powerplant attachment point
An engine mount is a bracket or support that secures an engine to a vehicle's frame or body while absorbing vibration and reducing noise transmission to the cabin.
Most engine mounts contain rubber or hydraulic fluid elements that dampen the engine's natural vibration during operation.
When mounts wear out or fail, drivers typically notice increased vibration, clunking sounds during acceleration, or visible engine movement.
