dunk tanks
Fairground soaking booths
A dunk tank is a carnival attraction where someone sits on a collapsible seat above a tank of water.
Players throw balls at a target; a hit releases the seat and plunges the person into the water.
Often used at fundraisers, where the appeal is dunking a boss, teacher, or local official: The principal agreed to sit in the dunk tank if students raised enough money.
