duckspeak

Automatic ideological chanting

Duckspeak comes from George Orwell's novel *Nineteen Eighty-Four*, where it describes speech that bypasses thought entirely—words produced automatically like a duck's quacking.

The term now applies to any mindless repetition of official talking points or ideological phrases: The press secretary's duckspeak about "moving forward" answered nothing.

It suggests the speaker isn't thinking, just making noise.
