drive-time
Peak radio hours
Drive-time refers to the periods when most commuters are traveling to or from work, typically early morning and late afternoon.
The term appears most often in broadcasting, where drive-time slots command premium advertising rates because of their large captive audience: drive-time radio, the morning drive-time show.
As an adjective, it describes programming or ads targeting commuters: drive-time listeners.
