drill hall

Indoor marching space

A drill hall is a large indoor space where military personnel or other groups practice marching, formations, and exercises.

Originally built for troops to train in bad weather, drill halls also serve as venues for ceremonies, inspections, and community events.

In Britain, many Victorian-era drill halls still stand, often repurposed as community centers or performance spaces.
