docking port
Orbital rendezvous point
A docking port is a connection point where two vehicles or modules join together.
The term appears most often in spaceflight, where spacecraft attach to stations or other vessels: The capsule approached the docking port on the space station.
In computing and electronics, a docking port connects a portable device to a base station that provides additional functionality—power, displays, or peripherals.
