diving catch
Horizontal fielding grab
A diving catch is a catch made by launching the body horizontally through the air, typically to reach a ball that would otherwise be out of range.
The term appears most often in baseball and American football, where such plays are celebrated for their athleticism and desperation: He made a diving catch in the outfield to save the game.
Any catch requiring a full-body dive qualifies.
