dislodgments

Acts of unseating

Dislodgments are acts of forcing something from its position or place of rest.

A military dislodgment removes enemy forces from a fortified position.

More broadly, anything that gets knocked loose or displaced experiences dislodgment: the dislodgment of a blood clot, the dislodgment of old beliefs.
