depigmented
Lost its pigment
Depigmented describes skin or other tissue that has lost its natural pigmentation, appearing lighter or white.
The term is clinical, used in dermatology for conditions like vitiligo where melanin disappears from patches of skin: depigmented lesions on the hands and face.
Hair, feathers, or eyes can also be depigmented.
