deoxygenated blood
Oxygen-depleted circulation fluid
Deoxygenated blood is blood that has delivered its oxygen to body tissues and is returning to the heart and lungs to be reoxygenated.
It appears darker red than oxygen-rich arterial blood, though diagrams conventionally show it as blue.
Deoxygenated blood flows through the veins back to the heart.
