deathscape
Bleak extinction terrain
A deathscape is a landscape dominated by death, destruction, or desolation—whether literal or figurative.
The term appears in discussions of war zones, ecological collapse, or post-apocalyptic imagery: The bombing left behind an urban deathscape.
It can also describe artistic or literary depictions of death-haunted environments: Bosch's paintings are deathscapes of medieval anxiety.
