d6
Standard gaming die
A d6 is a six-sided die, the standard cube used in board games and gambling.
The notation comes from tabletop gaming, where the number after "d" indicates faces: Roll 2d6 for damage means roll two six-sided dice.
The d6 is the most common die in casual play—what most people picture when they hear "dice."
