court lines
Marks defining play
Court lines are the markings on a sports playing surface that define boundaries, service areas, and other zones essential to gameplay.
In tennis, basketball, volleyball, and similar court sports, these painted or taped lines establish where the ball must land, where players may stand during serves, and what constitutes in-bounds versus out-of-bounds.
The ball landed just inside the court lines, so the point counted.
