counterrotation
Opposite directional spinning
Counterrotation is rotation in the opposite direction to something else.
The term appears in engineering and physics contexts where two components spin in opposing directions: The engine uses counterrotation to reduce torque.
Propellers on twin-engine aircraft often counterrotate to balance forces.
Also used as an adjective: counterrotation propellers.
