counterproposal
Answer to their offer
A counterproposal is a proposal made in response to another proposal, typically offering different terms or conditions.
In negotiations, when one party rejects an initial offer, they often make a counterproposal rather than simply walking away: The union rejected management's wage increase and came back with a counterproposal.
Also spelled counter-proposal.
