Sound off sequentially
Count off is a method of numbering used to organize people into groups or determine how many are present.
Participants call out consecutive numbers in sequence, each person saying the next number in turn.
Military units and gym classes count off to divide into teams or verify attendance: Count off by threes and form your groups.
