corsages

Formal dance flowers

Corsages is the plural of corsage, a small arrangement of flowers worn on a woman's dress or wrist for formal occasions.

Corsages are most associated with American high school dances—proms and homecomings—where a date traditionally presents one: He picked up the corsage from the florist before the dance.

They also appear at weddings, usually worn by mothers of the bride and groom.
