conservation of energy
Energy never disappears
Conservation of energy is the principle that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.
A swinging pendulum converts potential energy to kinetic energy and back; a light bulb converts electrical energy to light and heat.
The total energy in a closed system remains constant, though it may change form or transfer between objects.
