outdoor murals
Walls become canvases
Outdoor murals are large-scale paintings or artwork applied directly to exterior walls, buildings, or other public surfaces.
They range from commissioned civic art to unauthorized graffiti, often serving decorative, political, or community-building purposes: The neighborhood revitalization project included several outdoor murals depicting local history.
Unlike gallery art, outdoor murals weather the elements and belong to their environment.
