artist collectives
Shared studio groups
Artist collectives are groups of artists who collaborate, share resources, or exhibit together while maintaining individual practices.
Unlike formal institutions, collectives are typically self-organized around shared aesthetics, politics, or practical needs: The collective rented a warehouse where members could work and show.
Some produce joint works; others simply pool costs for studio space or organize group shows.
