Shirt tip insert
A collar stay is a thin, rigid strip inserted into pockets on the underside of a dress shirt collar to keep the collar points flat and crisp.
Usually made of plastic, though metal and bone versions exist.
Also called a collar stiffener.
I forgot to remove the collar stays before washing the shirt.
