cockpit door
Flight deck entrance
The cockpit door is the barrier separating an aircraft's flight deck from the passenger cabin.
Following the September 11, 2001 attacks, cockpit doors on commercial aircraft were redesigned to be reinforced and lockable from the inside, preventing unauthorized access during flight: The cockpit door remained sealed throughout the emergency.
