citronella oil
Lemongrass-derived insect deterrent
Citronella oil is an aromatic oil extracted from lemongrass, widely used as an insect repellent.
The distinctive sharp, citrusy scent appears in candles, sprays, and lotions meant to ward off mosquitoes: We lit citronella candles on the patio.
It also serves as a fragrance in soaps and cleaning products.
