cinquain

Brief American verse

A cinquain is a five-line poem.

The term most often refers to the form developed by American poet Adelaide Crapsey: five lines of two, four, six, eight, and two syllables respectively, creating a brief, compressed verse similar to haiku.

More loosely, cinquain describes any five-line stanza or poem.
