chorus leader
Guides the singers
A chorus leader is the person who directs or leads a chorus, whether in ancient Greek drama, religious services, or modern choral performance.
In Greek theater, the chorus leader (coryphaeus) spoke for the chorus and interacted with actors.
In contemporary use, the term describes anyone who guides group singing or chanting: The chorus leader raised her hand to signal the entrance.
