celiacs
Those avoiding wheat protein
Celiacs are people who have celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder in which eating gluten damages the small intestine.
The term functions as both noun and adjective: celiacs can't eat regular bread, a celiac reaction to wheat.
The spelling coeliac is standard in British English.
