carbo
Dieter's energy source
Carbo is informal shorthand for carbohydrate, usually appearing in the plural: I'm cutting carbs, loading up on carbos before the race.
The longer form *carbo* is less common than the clipped *carb*, but both serve the same function in casual talk about diet and nutrition.
