caballeros
Horsemen from ranches
Caballeros is the Spanish word for gentlemen or horsemen, borrowed into English primarily in the American Southwest.
A caballero originally referred to a mounted knight or nobleman, and the term retains associations with horsemanship and chivalry: The old caballero tipped his hat.
In regional usage, it can simply mean men, as in addressing a group: Buenos días, caballeros.
