c-stands

Lighting support equipment

C-stands are heavy-duty metal stands used in film, photography, and video production to hold lights, reflectors, flags, and other equipment.

The name comes from "century stand," referring to the Century Lighting Company that popularized them.

A c-stand typically has a weighted base with three differently-sized legs that nest together for compact storage, a riser column, and a grip head with an extension arm called a gobo arm: We need three c-stands for the diffusion panels.
