broken arm
Cast-worthy upper extremity
A broken arm is a fracture in one or more bones of the arm—the humerus, radius, or ulna.
The term covers everything from hairline cracks to complete breaks: She's in a cast for her broken arm.
Broken arm appears far more often in everyday speech than the medical term "fractured arm," though they mean the same thing.
