pay television
Premium broadcast service
Pay television refers to subscription-based TV services that viewers must pay for, as opposed to free broadcast channels.
The term encompasses cable, satellite, and streaming services that charge monthly fees for access to their programming.
Premium channels like HBO or Showtime represent a further tier of pay television requiring additional fees beyond basic subscription packages.
We cut the cord on pay television and switched to streaming services.
