brad nail
Slender finishing fastener
A brad nail is a thin, small-gauge nail with a slight head, used in finishing work where a larger nail would split the wood or leave an unsightly hole.
Brads attach trim, molding, and other delicate pieces: I used brad nails on the cabinet facing.
They're typically driven by a pneumatic or electric brad nailer rather than a hammer.
