boozer

Frequent bar patron

A boozer is a person who drinks alcohol habitually or to excess—a drunk.

The word is mildly disparaging but often used casually or self-deprecatingly: My uncle was a real boozer back in his day.

In British English, boozer also means a pub: Let's pop down to the boozer for a pint.
