bookmarkers

Reading progress keepers

Bookmarkers are strips of paper, ribbon, or other material placed between pages to mark one's place in a book.

The term is less common than bookmarks, which means the same thing.

A bookmarker might also be a person who marks books or uses bookmarks, though this sense is rare: She was an avid bookmarker, never dog-earing pages.
