boogaloo
Latin soul fusion
Boogaloo is a style of Latin dance music and funk that emerged in 1960s New York, blending African American and Puerto Rican influences.
A boogaloo is also any sequel or continuation, from the 1984 film *Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo*, now used ironically: Tax Season 2: Electric Boogaloo.
In recent years, boogaloo has been adopted by far-right extremists anticipating civil war or violent insurrection, appearing in phrases like boogaloo boys.
