blue lines
Rink zone markers
Blue lines are the two lines that divide an ice hockey rink into three zones—defensive, neutral, and offensive.
They determine offside violations: an attacking player cannot enter the offensive zone ahead of the puck.
The referee waved off the goal for crossing the blue line too early.
