Lined paper type
College ruled describes lined paper with narrower spacing between horizontal lines than standard ruled paper—typically about 7 millimeters apart.
The tighter lines allow more writing per page, suiting the denser note-taking of older students: I prefer college ruled notebooks for lecture notes.
The name distinguishes it from wide ruled paper, which elementary students often use.
