blockwork

Stacked masonry units

Blockwork is construction made from concrete blocks or similar masonry units, as distinct from brickwork or poured concrete.

The term appears in British building contexts more than American: The contractor finished the blockwork before the rain came.

It can also refer to the craft or trade of laying such blocks.
