black-and-tan
Two-toned pub pour
Black-and-tan describes a color pattern combining black with tan or reddish-brown markings, especially in dog breeds: a black-and-tan coonhound.
A black-and-tan is also a layered drink of pale ale and dark stout.
Historically, the Black and Tans were British auxiliary police sent to Ireland in 1920, named for their mismatched uniforms.
