biconditional

Two-way logical equivalence

Biconditional is a logical relationship where two statements are either both true or both false—each implies the other.

In logic and mathematics, it's expressed as "if and only if" (often abbreviated "iff"): A triangle is equilateral if and only if all its angles are equal.

The biconditional is true when both sides match in truth value, false when they differ.
