reversibility
Capacity for undoing
Reversibility is the quality of being able to be undone, returned to a previous state, or run in the opposite direction.
In chemistry and physics, reversibility describes reactions or processes that can proceed in either direction: The reversibility of the reaction depends on temperature.
In medicine, it distinguishes conditions that can be cured from permanent ones.
Decisions with reversibility carry less risk than those without: The reversibility of the policy made it easier to approve.
