betting round
Poker wagering segment
A betting round is a distinct phase in poker and similar card games when players take turns wagering, checking, raising, or folding.
Most poker variants have multiple betting rounds—typically after the deal and after each reveal of community cards.
The flop begins the second betting round.
The structure of betting rounds varies by game: Texas Hold'em has four, while five-card draw has two.
