barytone
Mid-range singer
Barytone is an alternative spelling of baritone—the male singing voice between tenor and bass, or an instrument in that range.
The spelling with y reflects the Greek root more directly but has largely fallen out of use in favor of baritone: The barytone soloist delivered a commanding performance.
